The European Environment Agency published a new report on plastics which we recommend reading! It gives you a good understanding of #plastics and explains the environmental and climate impacts that occur across the life cycle of plastics.
A highlight for us, once you get to Box 13 you will see GreenKayak being mentioned as an initiative that involves consumers in capturing plastics that have already been leaked into the environment. We are honored to be mentioned by the EEA and hope many people will join us in the fight against environmental pollution! Likewise, we hope to see the European Commissioner for Environment Virginijus Sinkevičius follow the lead of the report’s authors ( Lars Fogh Mortensen and Ida Tange) getting a first-hand experience aboard a GreenKayak!
